This day’s casual look is a nautical-inspired outfit; comfortable but classic summer/vacation edit. I picked a timeless horizontal striped top design that will create a balance between my model’s shoulder bust and waist by adding width to her bust area. The intention is to give my thin model a smaller waist that will correct her rectangle body shape. These horizontal stripes will target my model’s undefined waist and thin appearance. I paired this striped top with high-rise straight wide-leg trousers to balance her lower body proportions. I accessorized the trousers with a natural straw-woven belt to define my model’s waistline. I also paired the look with a natural straw-woven bag, a natural woven chain-bit straw loafer shoe, a silky natural design scarf, a pair of silver hoop earrings, and a pair of sunglasses. I styled this day’s professional outfit by investing in fabric, a perfect fit, and hues that complement my model’s features. I picked a light gray neutral color suit, keeping in mind my model’s skin complementary color. The jacket features a double-breasted style that perfectly adds volume to my model’s upper body; it also features padded shoulders that help me create a nice V shape that will help me with the illusion of a small waistline. I picked up the top in black color mainly because it is a perfect neutral color for my model’s skin tone and at the same time is a perfect color to flatter my model’s small bust. I also picked this black neutral color of the top purposely to create a polished and elegant mood for the outfit. The top features a bateau neckline that perfectly flattens my model’s small bust and body shape. To accessorize: I used a black belt to accentuate my model’s waistline, a pair of stud earrings, a pair of black pumps, a pair of sunglasses, and a black work bag to coordinate with the overall look.
